Located in the picturesque fishing village of Carvoeiro, the Algarve, Quinta do Paraiso is a beautiful complex offering a spectacular selection of bungalows, apartments and villas and a beautiful restaurant, perfect for hosting a Portugal destination wedding.
Built in typical Moorish style, Quinta do Paraiso is just 2 km from the beach at Praia do Carvoeiro, in a spacious setting amidst beautiful and well maintained tropical gardens with fig and almond trees and an abundance of tropical plants.
Quinta do Paraiso offers an elegant wedding space for up to 70 guests. Their professional team of caterers and event planners will ensure that every detail of your big day is taken care of.
Whether it is a beach affair, traditional church service or a ceremony at Quinta do Paraiso’s picturesque gardens and grounds, couples can be sure that the friendly staff will dedicate their time and commitment to ensuring everything is catered for.
A welcome aperitif and cocktail party takes place at the Caravela pool bar followed by a lunch or dinner at the poolside Rabelo Restaurant. Traditionally decorated with contemporary touches and views out to the landscaped garden and pool area, Quinta do Paraiso provides a truly stunning backdrop to your special day.
This vibrant venue offers a magnificent menu at a very reasonable price. A package deal for 50-70 guests costs €85 per person and includes a tantalising selection of food including canapés and a buffet before the meal of soup, a fish dish, sorbet, a meat dish and dessert. Guests are also treated to a traditional Portuguese cheese board, a dessert buffet, coffee and digestives and a late night snack. This is all in addition to an open bar throughout the event including spirits, wine, cocktails and sparkling wine for the cake cutting.
Table linen, glassware and crockery along with room decoration (a choice from 3 available options), a red carpet reception and complimentary accommodation for the “happy couple” on their wedding night is also included in the price. This is one of the most reasonably priced deals we have come across on the Atlantic coast.
The management team can advise on local suppliers such as DJs, florists and photographers. They are very experienced in hosting weddings and decorating the venue according to the couples’ needs so using a wedding planner is not essential for this destination wedding venue.
This family friendly resort offers a selection of other restaurants and bars along with several sports and entertainment facilities. A children’s club and an animation team will keep adults and children amused and happy with regular daily and evening activities!
Wanderlust Weddings think this is a really special venue providing value for money along with a beautiful backdrop for your special day. All of your guests can stay on site and enjoy an extended wedding party in a perfect location.
Wanderlust Weddings has a special agreement with Quinta do Paraiso and can advise on discounts for couples interested in hosting their wedding at the wonderful location. Contact email@example.com for more information
We love Carly and Mark’s fairytale wedding at Little Channels in Chelmsford (Essex). Located on the Cliffords Estate on the outskirts of the village of Little Waltham, Little Channels was the perfect venue for Carly and Mark to share their intimate ceremony with 60 friends and family, including their gorgeous little boy……
How they met
Carly and Mark have known each other since they were 17, but didn’t get together until they bumped into each other seven years later in an Essex nightclub. Well it was worth the wait, as they ended up getting engaged four months later and two weeks after that, Carly found out she was expecting their first child….
Much to Carly’s surprise, Mark has asked her father’s permission to marry her a little while before the proposal. Mark was very clever in the way he proposed – he told Carly that someone had hit their brand new car, and when she went out to look at the damage – guess what? Mark had attached a little black box to the bonnet! He then removed the box from the bonnet, got down on one knee and the rest if history…
The couple chose to have their wedding at Little Channels after viewing around six different venues.
When they walked into Little Channels, they knew straight away that they had found the right place. Mark and Carly loved the wooden beams which give the venue a barn-like feel. The exclusive outside courtyard and the intimacy Little Channels offers is exactly what the couple wanted for their day.
Carly and Mark had 60 guests to the ceremony and dinner and an extra 60 guest in the evening.
How the day went….
Carly was delighted with how her big day went: ‘Our day was everything we could have hoped for and more. The weather was fantastic, everything went to plan with no hiccups. I was very relaxed and eager to see my future husband and little boy looking so handsome and celebrating our day with close family and friends.’
Carly’s dress was from Karen Forte Bridal and occasion wear in Cambridgeshire which was recently featured on TV series ‘Don’t tell the bride’. The shop is very close to where her mother-in-law lives and every time she used to drive down there, she always admired the ‘amazing wedding dresses in the window.’ Little did she know that a few years later, what turned into a ‘just looking visit’ turned out to be the day she found her dream wedding dress. Carly emphasised that the staff were great and didn’t pressure her in buying the dress.
Marks’s outfit along with the outfits for the best man, ushers, pageboys and father-of-the bride were from Moss Bros. The suits were from the Wedgewood range.
The couple used their favourite films as their table names and also had a sweetie table to treat their guests and cupcakes instead of a traditional wedding cake.
Carly was delighted with the venue: ‘Little Channelswas very intimate and exactly what Mark and I wanted.’
Little Channels has a sister venue called ‘Channels’ which is slightly bigger, so could be good for larger weddings.
Carly used Domenico Cifaldi as her wedding photographer who managed to capture her day perfectly. Based in North London and covering a wide area of the UK, Domenico has over 20 years of photographic and filming experience. He has a talent for documenting events as they happen naturally and reflecting the genuine emotions and character of his clients.
Fluent in Italian, Spanish and English, Domenico also covers destination weddings in Italy, Cyprus, Portugal and Spain.
